6 p.m. PST O. J. Simpson and ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson leave dance recital for their daughter in West Los Angeles.

6:30 Nicole Simpson and nine others dine at the Mezzaluna restaurant in Brentwood.

8:30 p.m. Ms. Simpson leaves Mezzaluna. Someone calls restaurant to report she left her glasses behind. Waiter Ronald Goldman offers to return them.

Between 9:45 p.m. and 11 p.m. Ms. Simpson and Mr. Goldman are killed.

11:45 p.m. Mr. Simpson flies from Los Angeles to Chicago.

MONDAY

12:10 a.m. PDT - Bodies of Ms. Simpson and Mr. Goldman found.

4:15 a.m. PDT Mr. Simpson checks into the O'Hare Plaza-Hotel in Chicago.

LTC 6:30 a.m. Mr. Simpson checks out of hotel.

7:41 a.m. Mr. Simpson flies back to Los Angeles.

Noon Mr. Simpson taken by police to headquarters for 3 1/2 hours of questioning.

TUESDAY

Mr. Simpson remains in seclusion; reports surface of bloody glove found at Mr. Simpson's home.

WEDNESDAY

Defense attorney Robert Shapiro replaces attorney Howard Weitzman. Evidence mounts against Mr. Simpson. Mr. Shapiro says Mr. Simpson was at home waiting for an airport limousine at the time of the slayings.

Mr. Simpson attends private service for his ex-wife at Orange County funeral home.

THURSDAY

Mr. Simpson accompanies his children to his ex-wife's funeral in Brentwood.

Funeral for Mr. Goldman.

Police search Chicago field next to hotel where Mr. Simpson stayed.

FRIDAY

11 a.m. Mr. Simpson is charged with two counts of murder.

Mr. Simpson fails to surrender and is declared a fugitive.

7 p.m. - A Ford Bronco believed to be carrying Mr. Simpson is trailed by dozen patrol cars on Interstate 5.
