Victoria A. Lukaszewski, who was president of three groups of the Polish Women's Alliance of America, died Tuesday of congestive heart failure at Church Hospital. She was 83 and lived on South Luzerne Avenue where she operated her family's Quality Seafood and Produce Store in the 1940s and 1950s.

She was state president of the Women's Alliance from 1979 until 1991. In that office, she also was head of the group's District 12, which includes the District of Columbia. In 1991, she was named honorary state president.

She had been president since 1951 of the alliance's St. Bernadette's Group and had also been head of its Council 34.

She was a member of the Polish American Congress, the Polish Home Club, the Polish National Alliance and the Polish Falcons.

The former Victoria A. Mazan was a native of Baltimore and attended Patterson Park High School at night.

Her husband, Marion Lukaszewski, died in 1972. They sometimes were known by the surname Lucas.

She was a member of St. Hedwig's Sodality at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 400 S. Chester St., where a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita Konopacki of Bethany ** Beach, Del., Lorraine Laszczynski of Baltimore, who is executive secretary of the Baltimore City Council and Anita Andrews of Pasadena; three sisters, Genevieve Jaworski, Helen Fabiszak and Dorothy Cwiek, all of Baltimore; a brother, Milton Mazan of Baltimore; a friend, John Barron of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
