* Sykesville: A shed in the area of Oklahoma Road and Norris Avenue caught fire Wednesday night. Engines from Sykesville, Winfield, Gamber and Howard County responded to the blaze at 9:57 p.m. They were out for 20 minutes.

Fire companies from Sykesville and Winfield, as well as Howard County, responded to an electrical fire in the 600 block of Obrecht Road at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday. The units were out for 20 minutes.

Sykesville firefighters responded to a tree fire in the 500 block of Martz Road at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday. They were out for 20 minutes.

Wires caught fire in the 5800 block of Obrecht Road on Wednesday afternoon. A Sykesville fire unit responded at 5:20 p.m., and returned after 25 minutes.
