Thrift store has reopened at new location

The Poplar Springs and Jennings Chapel United Methodist churches' thrift store reopened recently at a new location, 915 E. Watersville Road near Mount Airy.

The store will be open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, information: (410) 489-4851.

* Mount Airy: Firefighters from Mount Airy responded to an auto fire on Route 75 in Frederick County at 10:39 a.m. yesterday. Units were out for 14 minutes.
