Autopsy report awaited on body found in lot

THE BALTIMORE SUN

County police are awaiting an autopsy report today on the body of a 31-year-old woman found on a motel-dinner theater parking lot just off U.S. 50 near Annapolis.

The body of Vickie Lynee Hippler was found lying face up near some bushes on the lot by the old Dick Gessner's Broadway Corner dinner theater on Ferguson Road.

The discovery was made shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday by a maintenance man for the adjoining Annapolis Terrace Motel, where she had been living, according to the authorities.

Police Lt. Michael McNelly said a preliminary review of the body by a medical examiner turned up "no obvious signs of trauma," but police called the death "suspicious."

"The body will be taken to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore," Lieutenant McNelly said. "We will know more after the autopsy."

The woman's address was listed as Room 127 at the Annapolis Terrace.

Officer Randy Bell, a police spokesman, said the 51-unit residential motel housed the dinner theater, which closed in January after lease problems.

Police blocked off the motel while they questioned several residents.
