* ARSON: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who threw a Molotov cocktail into a carry-out in the 3100 block of W. North Ave. Sunday night, causing minor damage. The suspect and another man were fighting inside the carry-out when the owner told them to leave. Later, one of the men returned and threw the flamable device into the carry-out. The fire was extinguished by firefighters.

* ROBBERY TRY/SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- A 38-year-old Emmitsburg, Frederick County, man was shot Monday night during an attempted robbery at a service station in the 1400 block of E. Fayette St. The victim was placing fuel in his car when a gunman demanded his money. During a struggle, the gunman shot the motorist in the left side. The motorist was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and was listed in stable condition.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY: Cockeysville Precinct -- A man robbed Valley beauty supplies in the 1800 block of York Road of less than $100 Monday. After purchasing a pair of nail clippers, the man took money from the cash register.
