* Ellicott City: 3100 block of Boones Lane: Someone broke glass in the front door of a vacant house between May 29 and Wednesday, but nothing was taken, police said.

10200 block of Tuscany Drive: A resident awoke early yesterday morning to the sound of the garage door opening. The resident saw a man wearing a white cap walking away from the garage. Police said the garage door had been left unlocked and nothing had been taken.
