Three Baltimoreans were honored yesterday by the Jewish National Fund for outstanding contributions to society at the fund's 22nd annual Blue & White Gala at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The speaker at the event was Thomas Keneally, author of "Schindler's List," the book on which the Oscar-winning film is based.
Honored were Rachel Dahan, president of Beth Tfiloh Sisterhood and a philanthropist who has served on several boards and councils; Freeman A. Hrabowski III, president of University of Maryland at Baltimore County; and David H. Nevins, president of the Maryland/Delaware region of the Jewish National Fund and president of Nevins & Associates marketing and public relations firm.
