Wilson named Volunteer of the Year

Dr. Christine Wilson, a board member of the Anne Arundel County Economic Opportunity Committee (AACEOC), has been inducted into the Maryland Association of Community Action Agencies (MACAA) Hall of Fame as Volunteer of the Year.

Dr. Wilson was selected for her many years of work with nutrition and its role in adults and children.

Brenda Abney, an employee of the AACEOC, was honored as Employee of the Year for the county organization for her 15 years of work as director of the Senior Aides Program.

She is responsible for hiring and supervising more than 44 seniors and oversees the Senior Nutrition Program.
