* Sykesville: A resident of Friar Tuck Way in Sykesville reported to state police that someone cut the screen in the door to the sun porch and entered the house on Tuesday. The victim said the intruder ransacked the house and stole a cordless telephone and cash. The loss was estimated at $2,500.
