AlliedTechnical wins NASA contract
NASA has awarded Columbia-based AlliedTechnical Services the test, evaluation and maintenance contract for the White Sands Test Facility, Las Cruces, N.M.
The three-year contract is estimated at $92.8 million. A two-year option would make is $163.1 million.
The company will also operate and maintain propulsion test stands and a materials and components laboratory.
The test facility is used by NASA for test and evaluating spacecraft materials, components and propulsion systems.
County promotions are recognized
Howard County Economic Development was recently named a winner in the American Economic Development Council 1984 Sales Literature and Promotional Materials Awards competition.
Howard County Economic Development earned two "Best of Class" awards for entries in the general purpose brochure/tourism category and in foreign language brochures as well as two superior awards for its annual report and direct mail campaign categories.
HCC honors program brings award
Howard Community College's James W. Rouse Scholars Program recently received a 1994 Circle of Excellence award in the Special Student Recruitment Projects Division from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education in Washington.
The HCC program is a two-year honors curriculum featuring instruction, guidance and leadership development.
Jim Vogtman joins Saval Foods
Jim Vogtman has joined Saval Foods in Dorsey as director of national accounts for the Northeast region.
Mr. Vogtman has worked previously as national sales manger for Parks Sausage and regional sales manger for Dorman Roth Cheese Company.
He is a 1970 graduate of the University of Baltimore.
