*Westminster: An employee of a construction equipment company told city police five sections of scaffolding were taken from a job site at the new Wheeler Chrysler Plymouth showroom and repair garage in the 100 block of Railroad Ave. Company officials said a truck must have been used to remove the yellow scaffolding, which they valued at $1,000.
FIRE
*Westminster: Firefighters from the Westminster station were dispatched to four calls of wires on fire within 90 minutes during and after a brief but severe rainstorm Thursday afternoon. The first call, at 4:24 p.m., sent firefighters to the 1800 block of Uniontown Road for wires on fire in trees. The next call was at 4:31 p.m. for wires on fire at 154 S. Center St. At 4:34 p.m., another call was received for wires on fire at 82 S. Center St. The next call came at 5:55 p.m. for wires on fire in the 400 block of Gorsuch Road. Firefighters were out 90 minutes on the four calls.
*Reese: Reese was dispatched to clean up a paint spill on Route 140 west of the firehouse. Units were out for 30 minutes.
