COLLEGE PARK -- Edgar Alfonzo homered twice and Basilio Ortiz homered in the fifth for the winning run as Bowie (26-16) beat the Canton-Akron Indians (24-21), 7-6, in the first game of a doubleheader at the University of Maryland's Shipley Field yesterday. Rob Lukachyk also homered for the Baysox.

The Indians took an early lead with a four-run first inning, but the Baysox responded with two runs in the bottom of the first and four runs in the second.
