Jeff Bzdelik and Robert Reid -- assistants under former Washington Bullets coach Wes Unseld -- were dismissed this week, sources said yesterday. Both had interviewed with new coach Jim Lynam about the assistant coaches' positions.

Bullets general manager John Nash, however, would not confirm the firings.

"Nothing is official at this point," he said. "At this point there's no changes in the assistants. Next week we'll have something concrete."
