Baysox split with Indians

COLLEGE PARK -- The Canton-Akron Indians won the second game, 3-1, to gain a doubleheader split with the Bowie Baysox last night at the University of Maryland's Shipley Field.

In the opener, Edgar Alfonzo homered twice and Basilio Ortiz homered in the fifth for the winning run as Bowie won, 7-6. Rob Lukachyk also homered for the Baysox.

The Indians scored four in the first inning of the opener, but the Baysox rallied with two runs in the first and four in the second.
