Gamber lacrosse Gamber's Midget C squad beat Kelly Post, 9-4.
Gamber's Drew D'Anthony scored three goals and added two assists, and Justin Merson had three goals and one assist. Jesse Byrd, Matt Booz and Mike McCurry each scored once for Gamber.
Clipper Lennon and John Wah each scored twice in the Gamber Lightning I's 4-3 victory over Loch Raven. Gamber goalkeeper J.C. Hutchinson played an outstanding game.
Gamber's Lightning II squad improved its record to 5-2, with 11-0 victories over Loch Raven and Pikesville. Jason Holman scored six goals and Kyle Zentz had four in the win over Loch Raven.
Zentz added an assist and Patrick Hill, a goal and assist. Gamber defensemen Brian Roehe, Vinnie Iadevaia and Jeff Schnorr did an outstanding job of shutting down the Loch Raven attack.
Against Pikesville, Holman had six goals and an assist. Zentz had three goals, Mike Keating, two, and Matt Duke, one. Derek Steinle, Iadevaia and Roehe turned in strong defensive efforts.
Freedom Optimist lacrosse * 12-14 boys -- Rob Onda scored four goals and had three assists and Jay Surega added three scores to lead Orange to an 11-3 triumph over Maroon. Travis Spampinato added two goals, Brian Foley one, and Drew Gibson one.
Mark Manger added an assist for Orange. Billy Perryman scored twice for Maroon and Ryan Henneman added a goal and assist.
Lee Windsor's fourth goal of the game was the winning one, as Gold edged Grey, 5-4, in overtime. Pete Schaffer assisted on the game-winner. Richard Ashley had Gold's other score.
Eric Schottler and Micky Benham each added an assist for the winners. Will Gunther and Justin Folmey each had two goals for Grey; Andrew Bettis and Tres Johnson added assists. Maroon's Nick McCready played a strong game in goal, making 22 saves.
Joe Schaffer had 14 saves for Gold.
Mike Rabinovitz scored seven goals as White defeated Black, 14-3. Chad Rabinovitz, Tim Chairs and Chris Heck each added two scores for the winners. Heck added an assist, and Kevin Roy, a goal and two assists for White. Tom Freedman scored twice, and Mike Pearsall scored once for Black.
White downed Maroon, 14-1. Leading the winners' offense were Kevin Roy, with four goals and two assists, and Mike Rabinovitz, who had four goals and four assists.
Adam White and Tim Chairs each scored twice for White, Chad Rabinovitz had a goal and assist, and Ryan Wynne, a goal. Joe Onheiser scored for Maroon.
Lee Windsor scored a league-high eight goals against Orange. But the season's best individual scoring splurge was not enough, as his Gold team fell to Orange, 14-13. Rob Onda had six goals and five assists to lead Gold.
Kacey Norris scored twice for Gold, Jason Veneziani added a goal and assist, and Richard Ashley and Pete Schaffer each contributed a goal. Windsor had two assists, and Greg Will, one.
Travis Spampinato scored four goals for Orange, Jason Surega and David Robertson two apiece, and Dave Martin one.
* 9-11 boys -- Orange used a balanced attack to top White, 14-4. Chuck Henn and Chad Parker each had two goals and an assist for Orange, and Kevin Clark, Eric Wright and Mark Denis each added two goals.
Orange's Ryan Adams, Justin Waagbo, Kevin Myers and Ben Becker each added a score. Joe Beal scored three times for White and Matt Seivold, once.
Grey nipped Blue, 8-7, as Danny Stansbury paced Grey's attack with four goals and one assist. Eric Vizzini had two goals for Grey; Jordan Bosley and Steve Robertson added one apiece. Mark Donahue scored four goals for Blue, Andy Aschenbrenner, two, and Kris Gooding, one.

Perna Gymnastics recently traveled to Easton to compete in the Level IV Maryland Invitational Championships.
Melissa Hiner (ages 7-8) scored 8.00 on vaulting (third), 8.00 on parallel bars (second), 7.10 on balance beam (second), 7.80 on floor exercises (second) and a second-place 30.90 all-around.
Cigi Gass had 8.00 on vault (second), 8.00 on bars (first), 8.30 on beam (first), 8.00 on floor (first) and a first-place all-around of 32.30.
Jessica Shelton (9-11) was 8.40 on vault (sixth), 7.60 on bars, 7.10 on beam, 7.80 on floor (10th) for a 10th-place all-around score of 30.90.
Jennifer Griffith scored 6.80 on vault, 7.90 on bars, 7.30 on beam (10th), 6.70 on floor and 28.70 all-around.
Andrea Keefer scored 8.70 on vault (third), 8.30 on bars, 8.80 on beam (first), 7.80 on floor and a sixth-place all-around score of 33.60.

Westminster softball * Ponytail girls -- The Bombers had a 21-11 lead after five innings, but the Panthers rallied in the final two innings to win, 26-21. Michelle Davenport and Kim Schlipper were 5-for-5 for the Panthers.
Wendy Dinterman was 4-for-4, and Karen Herbert was 4-for-5 with a home run for the Panthers. Megan Straehle homered twice for the Bombers. Teammates Lauren McGee, Megan Malinowski and Shannon Mills each contributed three hits.
The Panthers also beat the Fillies, 11-8, as Karen Herbert went 4-for-4 with a homer and three runs scored for the winners. Joannah Jennings was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, and Kellee Meier was 2-for-4 with three runs scored for the Panthers.
The Waves rapped out 16 hits and improved to 10-1 with a 16-4 win over the Sharks. Kim Mathias was 3-for-4 for the Waves with a home run. Claire Panek and Karen Cherigo each were 3-for-3, and Panek hit a home run.
Jessie Dodge homered and singled for the Waves, and Becky Piotrowski added a 2-for-3 effort, with a double and homer.
The Edgers grounded the Jets, 13-2. Sindi Stem cleared the way for the Edgers, with a 3-for-4 game, two homers, a double,
two runs scored and four RBIs. The Edgers' Chris Roulette had a double, triple, two runs scored and three RBIs. Kelly Wood and Carolyn Erwin were 3-for-3, with Erwin driving in three runs.
The Edgers also beat the Crowns, 25-0. Stem went 4-for-4, with two home runs, a double, three runs scored and three RBIs. Roulette also homered twice, drove in five runs and scored three, going 2-for-3.
Leadoff hitter Sarah Scott went 4-for-4 and scored three times. Erwin was 3-for-4, scoring three runs. Amanda Bray went 3-for-3, with two RBIs, and Beth Leeco and Jess Simmers each got two hits.
Westminster baseball * Major league boys -- Matt Junk rapped out three hits to lead the Dodgers to a 15-7 win over the Rangers. Mike Denmead was 2-for-3 with a double for the Dodgers, and Josh Acampa was 2-for-3.
Greg Messer was the winning pitcher as the Yankees topped the Twins, 6-2. Ryan McCubbin got the save. Chris Sizemore paced the winners' attack, going 3-for-3. Ryan Boroner, David Wah and Sizemore turned in strong defensive efforts for the Yankees.
The Giants had a big game, scoring a 19-1 triumph over the
Twins. Nick Hohenwarter had three hits and two RBIs for the Giants, and Justin Williams rapped two hits and drove in four runs. The Giants' Steven O'Neill and Tommy Fletcher each added two hits.
North Carroll baseball * 12-13 boys -- Greenmount Fuel jumped to an 8-2 lead and went to beat Snap-On Tools, 10-4. Scott Wunder, who was 3-for-4 with five RBIs, hit a key two-run single in Greenmount's four-run first. He singled home two more in the second inning.
Kevin Hammond was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Phil Thomas, 2-for-3 for the winners. Thomas also played a good defensive game in center field.
Greenmount Fuel survived an eight-run last-inning rally to beat Hampstead American Legion, 13-11. Matt Kellenberger and Scott Wunder each doubled home two runs in an eight-run Greenmount third that put it ahead, 13-3. Kevin Hammond was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, Russ Iseminger was 3-for-3 with a two-run double, and Brian Gibson went 2-for-2 for the winners.
Craig Wyatt held Greenmount Fuel scoreless the final two innings, striking out five.
* 14-15 boys -- Ron's Auto improved its record to 6-1 with an 11-1 win over Farmers-Merchants Bank. Jason Fiorito pitched all the way for Ron's, giving up six hits and striking out 11 in seven innings. He threw 61 strikes in 68 pitches.
Dave Smith had a big day, going 4-for-5, with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored. His two-run double was a key hit in Rons' six-run sixth inning. Mike Bellgrau, who was 2-for-4, had a two-run single in the big sixth.
Ben Flemming and Eric Ford were 2-for-2 for Ron's and catcher Matt Bechtel turned in a fine defensive effort.
Earlier, Ron's defeated D.R.M., 6-5. Ron's took a 4-2 lead with a four-run second in which Bellgrau's two-run single was the key hit. Todd Bosley was 4-for-4 with two RBIs. He also scored the winning run in the home seventh, on a single by Bechtal.
D.R.M.'s Scott Ryan turned in an excellent relief job. He allowed only one run in 4 2/3 innings until surrendering the game-winner in
the seventh.
