INDIANAPOLIS -- Nigel Mansell put to rest rumors of his imminent return to Formula One racing yesterday.
"I will give my all at Indianapolis," he told the Daily Mail of London. "Then I will commit myself to defending my title through the remaining 12 races of the IndyCar season. The rest is fairy tales."
The May 1 death of Ayrton Senna had fueled speculation that Mansell would return to Formula One to fill the vacancy in the Williams-Renault team.
Mansell was to return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for today's final test session, after having enjoyed 12 days at home in Florida.
