Man charged with break-in at business

THE BALTIMORE SUN

County police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into the Potomac Air Gas Co. in the 4900 block of Fairview Ave. yesterday morning.

Northern District officers went to the address after receiving a call for a burglary at 4 a.m. Officer L. C. O'Connor and his K-9, Bubba, arrived soon afterward, when police discovered that someone had run into some nearby woods.

The pair found a man hiding by a nearby stream, police said. As the suspect was being led to the police car, he fell back against Bubba and was bitten. He was taken to North Arundel General Hospital but refused treatment, police said.

The suspect, Joseph Bernard Kelly, 33, of the 9900 block of Golf Course Road in Ocean City, was charged with breaking and entering, and destruction of property.
