Koll Management names Phila. account executive

R. James Kuerbitz of Bel Air has joined the Philadelphia office of Koll Management Services Inc. as a corporate account executive of the facilities services division.

Mr. Kuerbitz works with Koll's technical and consulting services team to conduct operations audits and develop plans for corporate clients.

Mr. Kuerbitz has 35 years of corporate real estate management experience for Dow Chemical USA. While at Dow, he developed and conducted a three-year study to identify the future space needs for Dow's headquarters complex. He was also responsible for real estate sales, purchasing and facility planning for Dow's headquarters and regional offices.

He is a member of the International Facilities Management Association and the Industrial Development Research Council.

Koll Management Services manages more than 500 properties nationwide.

Yeager named to chair library consortium

Geraldine Yeager, associate professor and head of library services at Harford Community College, has been voted chairwoman-elect of the Maryland Community College Library Consortium.

The organization comprises the academic libraries of the state's community colleges, with standing committees on automation, information literacy, staff development, resource sharing and grant development.

Ms. Yeager is overseeing the HCC library's implementation of an automated library system, in cooperation with the Harford County Public Library.

Preis vice chairwoman of AELR committee

Del. Mary Louise Preis, a District 34 Democrat, was recently named House vice chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review.

The AELR committee reviews regulations proposed by executive agencies, oversees work plans and policies of state agencies and the division of state documents and reviews certain executive decisions.

It also makes sure that executive agency regulations comply with state statutes.

Ms. Preis is a four-year member of the House Judiciary Committee.
