* Capt. Emile Harige, until lately in command of the oyster police schooner Daisy Archer, is constructing a canoe designed to beat any boat on West or Rhode rivers. -- The Sun, June 12, 1894.
* Rev. A. J. Howard, a Seventh Day Adventist, who has been conducting services in the eighth district of Anne Arundel County, has been arrested on the charge of Sabbath-breaking. Rev. Howard is charged, along with Henry Bullen, of working in their gardens on Sunday. -- The Sun, June 23, 1894.
