* North Laurel: 9700 block of Country Meadows Lane: A thief who tried to steal a 1991 Honda Accord on Tuesday took the car's stereo. Police said the blade of a screwdriver was found broken off in the vehicle's ignition.

10000 block of N. Second St.: Three refrigerators and a gas range were stolen from four model mobile homes Monday night or early Tuesday. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
