Outfielder Jeffrey Hammonds, suffering from a knee injury, was placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 4 after the Orioles' 6-3 win over Toronto last night.

His right knee was to undergo tests today, when the club will get a better idea how long he will be sidelined.

Hammonds first injured the knee while hitting in the indoor batting cages Saturday, but it did not swell up until yesterday.
