Top-ranked Severna Park (12-0) got four goals from Kathy McCafferty and three goals each from Colleen Gately, Erin Wylde and Jen Voishan yesterday in a 20-7 romp over Arundel (10-3) to clinch the Anne Arundel County girls lacrosse championship.

No. 4 Annapolis finished a game behind Severna Park. The Panthers' only loss was to the Falcons.

Gately also had three assists.

The Falcons dominated from start to finish in their final game before they begin defense of the state title they have won the past four years.

Before there was a girls state tournament, Severna Park won three straight regional titles. The Falcons have gone 29-0 the past two seasons.
