Three students from East Middle School in Westminster were arrested and charged as juveniles with one count each of possession of a deadly weapon on school property and carrying a deadly weapon on school property Thursday, according to Westminster police.
The boys, 13, 14 and 15, were released to their parents after charges were placed.
Police said a boy took a hunting knife, encased in a sheath, to the school and it was passed on to other boys during the day.
A school official was told the knife was in a book bag and police were called to the school, according to a police spokesman.
