* Westminster: A resident of Bishop Court reported that someone scratched the paint on her car while it was parked near her house Thursday. The damage was estimated at $700.

A resident of the 200 block of E. Main St. told police that a burglar broke into her house through the kitchen window and stole several items Wednesday. She estimated the loss at $1,750.

An official of Modern Comfort Systems on Airport Drive reported that someone stole three flags from poles in front of the business between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. The American, Maryland and Carroll County flags were illuminated and flown 24 hours per day. They were valued at $92, the official said.

A West Main Street resident reported that someone stole a painting from her front yard Monday. She estimated the value at $50.

FIRE

* Reese: Firefighters from the Reese station responded for a cleanup detail at the site of an accident on Route 140 at 9:49 p.m. Thursday. They were out for 30 minutes.
