Holdup suspect sought

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Westminster police are searching for a man they say is suspected of trying to rob the Admiral Cleaners on South Center Street about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said a man with a knife walked into the cleaners, grabbed the clerk and demanded money. During the holdup attempt, a customer drove into the parking lot and frightened the robber, who ran toward Main Street.

The robber was described as white, 17 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with dark, shoulder-length hair.

He was wearing a black-and-white flannel shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the man or the attempted holdup should call 848-4646 or 857-TIPS.
