SENATE: TO REJECT PAY CUT

SENATE: CREDIT REPORTING
By a vote of 87 for and 10 against, the Senate sent to the House a bill (S 783) to give consumers more protection against abuses by credit reporting agencies and the banks, retailers and others who supply the credit data. The bill shifts the burden of proof for accuracy from the consumer, where it resides under federal law, credit bureaus and the companies that feed information to them.
