POLICE

* Manchester: A resident of the 1900 block of Garrett Road reported to state police that someone broke into his vehicle and stole 35 compact discs while he was in the Bachman Valley Inn in the 4500 block of Hanover Pike on Monday. The man estimated the loss at $300.

* Hampstead: Hampstead responded to a field fire on Gablehammer Road at 4:17 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 25 minutes.
