Peter Bogue doubled, homered and drove in all four of Gilman's runs as the host Greyhounds capitalized on errors to upset No. 1 Calvert Hall, 4-3, yesterday.
Gilman, which beat Calvert Hall, 7-6 on April 14, is the only team to beat the Cardinals (22-2) this season.
Gilman jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning yesterday. Jay Homa reached on an error, and Bogue hit a home run.
Calvert Hall tied the game with a run in the second inning and a run in the third. In the second, Adam Roberts walked, advanced to second on a ground out, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a fielder's choice. In the third inning, Andy Bair tripled and was driven in by a Bill Staub single.
In the bottom of the third, Gilman's Sean Tyszko reached on a throwing error and advanced to second. Tyszko went to third when Homa singled. Homa, who had stolen second, and Tyszko scored when Bogue doubled.
Calvert Hall picked up a run in the fifth, when John McKay scored on an error.
