Lynchburg beats Frederick, 3-2

FREDERICK -- The Lynchburg Red Sox (13-12) overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat the Frederick Keys, 3-2, last night in a Single-A Carolina League game.

Keys first baseman Brian Link committed an error that scored Bill Selby with the go-ahead run in the seventh.

Keys pinch runner Greg Castaldo was thrown out at the plate by Red Sox center fielder Trot Nixon to end the game.

Jim Crowley, son of ex-Oriole Terry Crowley, hit a line-drive home run toright-center to cut the Keys' lead to 2-1 in the fifth.

It was the teams' second straight one-run game. Frederick defeated the Red Sox, 3-2, Monday night.

Billy Owens drove in two runs for the Keys (14-12) with a home run and a single.
