Woman finds 3 intruders in her home

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Laurel woman who returned home Wednesday morning after being away several days found three people in her apartment smoking marijuana, county police said.

Shannon Salisbury, 21, told police that a man and two women fled her Easton Street South apartment after she asked them what they were doing. The man stuck a plastic bag into his waistband before he left, she told police.

The intruders might have pried open a screen from the front window to get into the apartment, police said.

The trio apparently made themselves at home and stole about $935 worth of belongings, including $300 worth of stereo equipment, two Dallas Cowboys team jackets and a diamond ring worth $100, police said.

Ms. Salisbury told police that she recognized the man from the neighborhood but that she did not know his name or address.
