Nine Bosnian Serb soldiers were killed and four wounded in a clash with United Nations troops near TUZLA, the Bosnian Serb forces said. It was the worst clash on the ground so far between U.N. peacekeeping troops and the Bosnian Serb forces.

Two journalists working for U.S. publications were killed Sunday and another was wounded when their car ran over a landmine near MOSTAR. Maj. Antonio Albariz, a spokesman for Spanish U.N. troops, identifed the two dead as Brian Brenton, accredited to Magnolian News, and Francis William Tomasic, accredited to Spin magazine.

The Clinton administration has accused the top U.N. civilian and military officials in Bosnia of failing to support a more aggressive policy toward the Serbs. The accusation came in a letter to U.N. Secretary General Boutros-Ghali on Saturday from Madeleine K. Albright, U.S. ambassador to the U.N. The officials in Bosnia have questioned the wisdom of air strikes against Serbs.
