Carroll landfills issue new rules on tires

Starting Monday, Carroll County landfills will no longer accept tires on rims or tires larger than 33 inches in diameter.

There is a $1 per tire charge for all other accepted tires. People who dispose of more than four tires must obtain a free permit from the Maryland Department of Environment.
