Woman, 41, fends off attack on B&A; Trail

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 41-year-old Pasadena woman fended off an attack by a man as she walked along the Baltimore-Annapolis Bike Trail yesterday morning, county police said.

The woman was walking with a baby near Waterford Road at about 9:43 a.m. when a man came up behind her and grabbed her by the throat, police said.

The man threatened to harm the baby if the woman screamed. Instead, the woman fought with the man until she was able to break free with the child. A bicyclist who was passing by stopped to help the woman, who sustained some minor scratches in the ordeal. The child was not harmed, police said.

Police are looking for a white male in his mid-20s. He is about 6 feet tall and has a medium build. He has long, stringy blond hair, a mustache, acne and dirty teeth. He was wearing a black T-shirt and dark pants, police said.
