Tickets on sale for summer symphony concerts

Tickets for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's "Summerfest" and Oregon Ridge programs are now on sale.

The "Summerfest" programs will be comprised almost entirely of Mozart's works and will feature such stellar soloists as pianists Barry Douglas and Christian Zacharias and violinists Joshua Bell and Pamela Frank. The concerts will be July 14, July 21, July 23, July 28 and July 30. All concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. in Meyerhoff Hall. Subscriptions for all five concerts are $40, $60 and $130. The popular outdoor concerts at Oregon Ridge Park will feature a program of Broadway hits at 7 p.m. June 19 (rain site is Meyerhoff Hall at 7 p.m.); classical favorites at 8 p.m. June 24 (no rain date); music by Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein and others at 8 p.m. June 25 (no rain date); popular, patriotic favorites July 3 and July 4 (with fireworks display) at 8 p.m. (rain date July 5); a program of romantic pieces by Brahms, Strauss and others (with fireworks display) July 16 (rain date July 17) at 8 p.m.; a program of Gershwin at 7 p.m. July 31 (rain date Aug. 1); and a program of comic favorites at 8 p.m. Aug. 6 (rain date Aug. 7) that will conclude with a fireworks display.
