Woodlawn's All-County forward Emmanuel Adekunle, a 6-foot-6, 190-pounder, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at St. Francis (Pa.) College.

Adekunle, a 4.0 student who scored 1,150 on the Scholastic Assessment Test, was for two years a part of a Warriors squad that went 44-3 -- including 20-2 this year with a No. 9 ranking in The Baltimore Sun's Top 20.

Adekunle, who was pursued by 10 different colleges, averaged 12 points and nine rebounds to earn Woodlawn's Most Valuable Player selection as well as second-team All-Metro honors.

He is part of a St. Francis recruiting class that includes three other players between 6-5 and 6-8.
