* Howard County: Units from South Carroll assisted Howard County on two incidents yesterday. Sykesville assisted Howard County in rescuing a construction worker involved in a cave-in in the 12000 block of Mount Albert Road at 11:57 a.m. About 50 minutes earlier, Sykesville had transferred an engine to the West Friendship station as Howard firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a chemical plant on Guilford Road.

* Mount Airy: Mount Airy assisted Montgomery County at a barn fire on Clarksburg Road at 4:01 a.m. yesterday. Units were out for 22 minutes.

Mount Airy assisted Montgomery County at a townhouse fire on Shelldale Court at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday. Units were out for 21 minutes.
