* Westminster: A Chase Street resident told city police that someone broke into her home and stole $20 on Tuesday.

A Taneytown resident told city police that someone stole both tags from his vehicle while it was parked in the first block of Wimert Ave. on Monday. He estimated the loss at $20.

A resident of West Main Street reported to city police a burglary at her home by someone who forced open the side door on April 21. She estimated the loss at $935.

FIRE

* Silver Run: Pleasant Valley responded to a tree fire in the 700 block of Humbert Schoolhouse Road at 4:49 p.m. yesterday. Units were out for 40 minutes.

* Westminster: Westminster responded for an auto fire at Route 140 and Englar Road at 4:49 p.m. yesterday. Units were out for 15 minutes.
