* Oakland Mills: 5800 block of Morningbird Lane: A would-be thief attempted to take a 1988 Honda late Sunday or early Monday. Police said a screwdriver was found in the ignition.

5700 block of Stevens Forest Road: Someone tried to steal a 1992 Suzuki by tampering with its ignition on Monday, police said.
