Loretta Fitzsimmons Hill, a Westminster resident and reading resource teacher, has been included in the fourth edition of Who's Who in American Education by Marquis publishers.
The publication lists people deemed to be making a difference in the field of education. The fourth edition features 28,000 educators from all levels of teaching throughout the United States.

* Westminster: An official of Green Way Lawns on East George Street told city police someone stole wooden landscaping ties Wednesday. The loss is estimated at $100.
FIRE
* Finksburg: Reese responded to an arson auto fire on Baltimore Boulevard at Cedarhurst Road at 3:56 a.m. Friday. Firefighters discovered that a fire had been set inside a 1989 Hyundai Excel and spread to a 1989 Toyota Corolla and a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Units were out for one hour and 46 minutes while waiting for a deputy fire marshal to investigate the blaze. The damage is estimated at $9,400.
