Albert Zukerberg

Longtime merchant

Albert Zukerberg, who had been an insurance agent and a clothing and furniture store owner in Baltimore, died Wednesday of heart and respiratory illnesses at a hospital in Lake Worth, Fla. He was 70.

He moved to Lake Worth 15 years ago after retiring as an agent for the United Insurance Co.

Before going to work for the insurer in 1965, he had operated the M.A.L. Corp. which sold furniture and women's clothing, for nearly 20 years.

He was born in Baltimore and graduated from City College.

Services were planned for 11 a.m. today at Sol Levinson & Bros., 6010 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore.

He is survived by his wife, the former Adele Zacansky; two sons, Alan Paul Zukerberg of Mount Washington and Jeffrey David Zukerberg of Owings Mills; two brothers Harry Zukerberg of Miami Beach, Fla., and Torrance, Calif., and Leon Zukerberg of Baltimore; a sister, Dora Z. Ordman of Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
