Someone pried open the front door of a home in the 300 block of New Jersey Ave. and made off with $550 worth of property Friday, county police said.

The burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 3:10 p.m., police said. A videocassette recorder, telephone, answering machine and small cassette radio were stolen.
