Baseball
White (1-1) was outstanding in two appearances for the Cougars last week, striking out 22 batters in 12 innings and notching his first win of the season on a one-hit shutout of previously unbeaten (5-1) Broadneck by 3-0. After striking out 13 and yielding only one hit in five innings of relief in a 3-2 loss to Glen Burnie on Monday, White came back with 13 strikeouts and three walks to top Broadneck on Friday.

Girls lacrosse
Hall scored six goals three times last week as the Knights of coach Tom Taylor went 2-1 to lift their overall record to 3-2. On Tuesday, Hall had six goals in a 12-11 loss to Chesapeake and Thursday six plus an assist in a 21-6 romp over Archbishop Spalding. The senior midfielder made it three sixes Friday and assisted on two others in a 15-6 victory over Glen Burnie.
Softball
Loren Bailey, Northeast
Bailey went 2-1 on the mound for the Eagles (3-2) last week, dropping only a 3-1 five-hitter to Glen Burnie's Denise Warren, who threw a no-hitter. Bailey scattered seven hits, struck out 15 and had a two-run double in a 4-2 win over Bel Air on Monday. Two days later, she pitched a one-hitter and had three hits (including a double) in a 3-0 shutout of Arundel.
Boys lacrosse
Scott Regina, Annapolis
Regina scored four goals and dished off another in a 14-1 rout of Meade, and had two goals and an assist in a 9-7 triumph at archrival Severna Park to leave the Panthers of coach Dan Hart 5-2.
Track
Raina Domneys, Old Mill
Domneys was a double-winner at last week's Meade Stampede (Meade High), taking the long jump (16 feet, 10 1/2 inches) and the triple jump (38 feet, 1 1/2 inches).
Gymnastics
James Mlynarski, Arundel
Mlynarski was the all-around winner in a dual-meet victory over Old Mill. The Wildcats' gymnast won every event and posted a total score of 44.2.
