Guns, rifles, a color television and a VCR were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1000 block of Seventh St., county police said.
The incident occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., police said.
The thief or thieves broke the latch and molding on the front door and forced their way inside, police said.
The house was ransacked and a gun cabinet was raided. A Remington 270 shotgun, a Marlin .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle, a Marlin .22-caliber bolt-action rifle, a fully loaded Wards Westerfield 12-gauge pump shotgun, a Ruger Super Black Hawk .44-caliber blue steel revolver and a Ruger .22-caliber double-six blue steel revolver were stolen, police said.
Jewelry and a Canon camera also were missing, police said.
