In article in yesterday's Sun about an experimental AIDS treatment, the Associated Press erroneously reported that Dr. Kenneth Alonso won government approval for the experiment. The Food and Drug Administration approved a study by HemoCleanse Inc., an Indiana company, to heat the blood of a few patients to determine whether that will kill the AIDS virus. The FDA is still evaluating Dr. Alonso's application for a separate study.
