Severna Park senior Jen Spampinato has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Towson State University.

The No. 1 pitcher her first two years at Severna Park, Spampinato was moved to first base and the outfield last season and was chosen as an All-Metro utility player.

She batted .388 with two doubles, three triples, two home runs and 15 RBIs. As a backup to pitcher Christy Huber, she went 5-1 with 55 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings.
