The Yugoslav government announced it was slapping visa requirements on all U.N. peacekeepers entering Yugoslavia starting next Wednesday.

Russian hard-liners burned an American flag outside the U.S. Embassy and lawmakers overwhelmingly condemned NATO as Russian sentiments against the air strikes on Serbs near GORAZDE ran high. Major newspapers expressed near-unanimous protest against the raids and a poll found that the public shares similar feelings.

Stephen Walker, who quit the State Department last August to protest U.S. policy on Bosnia, said Serb troops and tanks were massing for an attack on BIHAC.

Visiting Bosnian Vice President Ejup Ganic urged the Clinton administration to bomb roads and bridges that are supply routes for weapons to Serb forces from BELGRADE.
