MOOSIC, Pa. -- Orioles pitcher Sid Fernandez turned in his second strong rehab performance, leading the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings to a 7-4 win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last night.

Fernandez, scheduled to make his Orioles debut Sunday against Texas, pitched four innings and said he experienced no shoulder problems.

After a 1-2-3 first inning, Fernandez ran into some second-inning difficulties when he surrendered his only two runs and three hits.

"I had a little problem pitching out of the stretch," he said. "Then I got in a groove."

Fernandez, who walked one and struck out four, retired the last nine batters.

"I threw a lot of changeups and was happy with that," said Fernandez, who threw 51 strikes in 69 pitches. "The fastball doesn't take so long so I worked on my other pitch [curve]. I really felt good the last two innings."

Orioles general manager Roland Hemond was at the game and said, "I was very pleased."
