Michele Farley

Michele serves as senior class president and girls soccer captain. With a 4.0 grade point average, she belongs to the National Honor Society and is a Maryland Distinguished Scholar semifinalist.
She has been involved with class government since her sophomore year, when she was vice president. She also volunteers for the Student Government Association on various events, including homecoming. She tutors French to other students. She's played varsity soccer for three years and varsity tennis for four years.
Outside of school, she belongs to Columbia Chargers, a traveling soccer team. She also has worked at election polls as a volunteer.
Plans: She wants to major in international studies and political science.
Her comments: She's been involved with class government because "I don't so much like decisions made for me," she said. "I prefer to be involved and have some influence on what is made for me. [Being involved] has helped me get along with people who may not share the same views as I do. It's taught me to be more patient."
