* Wilde Lake: 5100 block of Downwest Ride: A would-be burglar broke a glass atrium door just after midnight Wednesday, but fled when the resident investigated. Police said the suspect wore a black blazer, black pants and a black knit cap.

5100 block of Darting Bird Lane: Coins, electronic games and a Sony radio were stolen after a sliding glass door was smashed Wednesday, police said.

5000 block of Whetstone Road: A burglar, who entered a home by breaking a glass door with a brick, searched through several rooms, but took nothing Wednesday.

* Harper's Choice: 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road: A black 1993 Kawasaki 250 motorcycle with Maryland tags 6814D2 was stolen late Tuesday night.
